Ready for Change

Not only does your body remember, but the original ‘story’ goes on being told and retold in disguised form – often as powerful emotional and physical reactions or as self damaging, repetitive patterns of behavior. Each of us has experienced a defining moment when we made an assumption about who we are. Our Belief system about who we are was established and firmly rooted.

Our Limiting beliefs:

  • Are based on ideas embedded into our subconscious mind without our awareness
  • Are those opinions that seem to just ‘be’…we think, feel or believe in a certain way without specific first-hand knowledge or experience to back it up.

Limiting beliefs impact one’s perception of what is possible to do, be or have. They are accepted without conscious choice. Typically our beliefs take root during our childhood when we readily and innocently accept what is presented to us. As we reach adulthood these same beliefs are at the core of what prevents us from attaining our deepest desires. Our limiting beliefs are often manifested as a small voice recorder inside our head that tell us we are not smart enough, good enough, tall enough, thin enough, white enough, cute enough, rich enough…ENOUGH!! Often these limiting beliefs become dominant when we are dealing with someone in authority, in a relationship, our parents, our siblings, group dynamics.

So what’s your limiting beliefs? Who or what is stopping you?

The truth about childhood is stored up in our bodies,
and although we can repress it, we can never alter it.
Our intellect can be deceived, our feelings can be numbed and manipulated,
our perceptions shamed and confused,
our and bodies tricked with medication.
But someday our body will present its bill.
The wounded and lost child is only in hiding.
Ultimately, our deepest self will accept no compromises or excuses,
and it will not stop tormenting or contaminating us until we stop evading the truth.
